Loop Genomics

Loop Genomics (https://www.loopgenomics.com/ ) kits exploit a unique barcoding technique using Unique Molecular Identifiers (UMI’s) to label and amplify individual long molecules for Illumina sequencing and reassembly to synthetic long read contigs. This allows sequencing of long molecules, such as full length 16S rRNA with the accuracy of Illumina short reads. Kits are processed in batches of 24 with the option of pooling up to 96 samples on a NovaSeq 2x150 sequencing run.   The overlapping results improve sequence accuracy with the longer synthetic reads improving microbial classification.

Short read fastq files are uploaded to the Loop Genomics website for contig assembly and classification returning assembled long synthetic reads OTU clustering and annotations.
